Hello.
This connector controls the half-speed fan setting to prevent the engine from overheating while driving. When stopped after driving, the fan blows harder because there's no longer any airflow due to the car's speed.

Did you see the video? Seems like some kind of electrical interference somewhere when using other electrical components. Any ideas how to fix it so it doesn't make these sounds?

No, don't unplug it.
Is the noise coming from the front of the car? If so, it's almost certainly coming from the cabin fan, which is running constantly even with the round knob set to zero.

The noise is coming from the unit the the plug connects to, or from the plug itself. I can also feel the vibration in the plug itself, if I hold my hand on the plug when it makes noise.
It is not the cabin fan. The cabin fan is off, the car is off with ignition on, in the video. Did you see the video?

That's a buzzing relay, a grounding or negative connection problem on the chassis. You'll need to look around and check the connections at the base of the door, for example.

Ah, yes that make sense, after reading more about this, I am very confindent that this is what is happening. The buzzing is both when operating windows, and the cabin blower fan, and it makes most sound on full blow effect, so it makes even more sense.

Do you know if it exists a map of ground points for this car? I need to check ground strap from battery (-) to chassis, and ground strap from engine or gearbox to chassis. Is there a ground point inside the dash that I can see and reach?

The problem is that it's an English car, so the ground points aren't in the same place.

Thank you very much Fafalastuce! I have downloaded the files you shared, very helpful.

This weekend, before I had the documents, I went under the car and found 2 ground straps. One in front, fans to chassis. And one in back, gearbox to chassis. They were both not in visually very good shape.

I removed both of them, cleaned and sanded connections. After reinstall, all the buzzing is gone and it looks like it solved the problem 100%. Thanks again, very happy about this.
