Interior lights

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how the interior lights at each end of the dashboard should be wired. Should both lights illuminate if either door is opened or just the one on the same side as the opened door?

On my car (1600 SX), only the one on the same side of the opened door is illuminated.

On my car (1300 G) I wired to illuminated both lights when I open left or right door. It’s perfect !
