Looking refurbishment of the expansion bottle

One pipe has come loose and need soldering in

The other was rusted away and need replacing

I am wary of using a lot of heat to solder the pipes back in as I am not aware whether the cap contains anything that could be affected by heat

Does anyone know ?

I always trust my supplier

but it seemed like an easy fix.

but he did not answer the question

There is a spring inside, not too sensitive to heat therefore.
There are different pressure references, you can measure your's using compressed air.
Or better, buy a new one of known pressure.

do the markings on the top give an indication of the pressure

Ebullition eau à T° sous P bars : P = (T/100)**4 //Approximate formula to compute the temperature of water boiling T under pressure P.
Exemples: 2b/120°C 1.6b/110°C

Théorie: Vase expansion bouchon blanc 0.7b, vert 1b, Marron 1.2b, bleu 1.4b +/- 7%

But ignore these markings, you have to check the release pressure by yourself by blowing air in the bottle.
Anything around 1.5b will do.

It seems that the given 'coloured data' are for the caps of the plastic version of the expansion reservoir but not the one made of glas.
N'est-ce pas ?

A good reason to measure it oneself...
