Sorry for my language, but the French language is tometimes too difficult for me.
I'm the owner of an A110, 1300G, départ usine 1971. Used in "slalom" in the first 6 years of its life, standing still for the next 14 years, bought by me in 2001, restored body-off by a "specialist" in Germany. In 2005 the restoration was completed. I always noticed that the body differed in height (rear end) by 18 mm (left side lower). The rear wheels are standing straight oppostite to another as camber and the suspension do also. The subframe at the rear end is straigt by the millimeter.
My question: is this "normal'" for an A110? The German "specialist" always responded: "they are all that way".
After a 9 month technical overhaul (suspension renewed, gearbox overhauled, clutch-group, brakes, etc.) the car still helts over to the left, rear end, like if the body is not straigt at the rear end.The car runs wonderful, a real pleasure; fast, corner-happy, a pain in the ass for my fellow rally drivers.
What is the opinion on this body-height-difference at this forum? (I can read feedback in French).
Thanks!
Ed Lemaire

Re: A110 body not straight
Hi,
In my opinion, if the height of the chassis is identical on both side, there is no good raison for a height difference of the body car. But I'm not a specialist of the 1300G version. On the other hand, if the car performs, it's the main objective

Re: A110 body not straight
Check if the rear chassis has a small square section, or a big one. The last 1300G (if it's a real one) had the later chassis (also called "gros chassis). If it's so, the body is trickier to fit on the chassis.

Re: A110 body not straight
Hello,
I just checked the heights at the right rear end and left rear end of the body on my 1972 V85 (big chassis), they match by a couple of mm (63 cm both side measured just aft of the engine lateral air intakes).
However, the heights at wheels arch differ by 15 mm, so I cannot pretend that my A110's body is straight
I have not checked the height of the chassis frame (access not so easy at the moment)
As mentioned, as long as it runs well on the road, it does not matter!

Chassis# 12092, BV 353-35. How do I know she has a "gros chassis"?
Merci aussi pour les autres reactions!

Hello,
You can see the difference to the rear of your châssis. The small is build with square section, the big one with rectangular section. ( little on the left, big on the right of the picture) .

Hello,
Looking at your photos, nothing shocking.
Unfortunately my car is being repaired. everything is disassembled. I can't measure to compare.
